In the letter, Kumari Selja said, “the dedication of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi towards the country was exemplary for all the countrymen, and under her (Mrs. Sonia Gandhi) leadership, the Indian National Congress served the countrymen when it was in power. Similarly now under the leadership of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the Indian National Congress was fighting fearlessly and tirelessly while being in the opposition. Be it the matter of health and interest of every person during Corona pandemic or to fight against the BJP’s antipeople policies”.
Kumari Selja said Today there were reports in the media regarding questions being raised on the functioning of top leadership by some leaders within the party.
From this, it appears that these people were complicit in the conspiracy of the BJP to weaken the Congress Party. The very identity of persons making such demands was the creation of the Indian National Congress and the party had also given them positions of power and continues to do so . I strongly condemn such a demand by them, she added.
Today, when the country was facing challenges, when the constitution of our country was being attacked in a planned manner, when conspiracies were being hatched to crush the democracy of our country, when efforts were being made to weaken the institutions in a systematic manner at such a difficult time, all Congressmen should and will have to maintain solidarity. This is the glorious tradition of the Congress Party of 135 years. Every decision in the Congress Party is taken in a democratic manner and this was our biggest strength, she added.
Kumari Selja said During the last 6 years of oppressive reign of the BJP government, the brilliance with which Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi had raised the voice of the public was unforgettable. Today, when the BJP government was adopting every tactic to suppress the voice of the opposition, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi have played remarkable role of fearless leaders. Mr. Rahul Gandhi was not only our leader, but also the strong voice of our country, said Kumari Selja.
Kumari Selja said that today, the country needs the bright leadership of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
The leaderships of both Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi are the only and sole ray of hope for the countrymen and innumerable Congress workers throughout India.
Today the hopes of the poor, laborers, farmers, dalits and youth of the country were focussed on this leadership, said Kumari Selja.
Kumari Selja said, “I am confident that under the leadership of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi, we will move towards a golden future and the country will achieve victory over all the crises” it faces.
