Children’s Day Celebration at Bhavan Vidyalaya

Chandigarh, sunita shastri:Children’s Day, the Birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, independent India’s first Prime minister was celebrated at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula with great splendour and grandeur. Children’s Day celebration in the Silver Jubilee year of the school holds a special significance, wherein a two days International Kids Film Festival (IKFF) wasalso organised for students. IKFF was organised for the first time in a Tricity school. Internationally acclaimed award winning movies catering to needs of each age group of students were shown in the school auditorium. The films belongedto different countries. Each of the films conveyed a powerful message in an effective way. In the evening a special show was organised for the parents as well. One more show was organised exclusively for the Panchkula schools and government schools. Students of the govt. school were gifted pens. The celebration focussed on children and their enjoyment. Numerous activities and fun filled events were organised. The students enjoyed Games,races,Tug of War, art activities, and dance. One minute guided games;Fun- frolic and food were also arranged. The food stall set up by the students of food production department provided sumptuous food to the students with specific menus for each class. The stall proved to be a great hit. Every nook and corner of the school was abuzz with enthusiasm. It was indeed a memorable day for the children. Principal Mrs. Gulshan Kaur motivated the students inspiring them to keep trying till the last moment. Her words filled the students with a passion.It was a no book day with enhanced learning at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula.

Chandigarh -Children’s Day was celebrated by Bhavan Vidyalya, Chandigarh today.The teachers Including Vice Principal Suparna Bansal joined the choir to entertain the students with live music, soulful songs, speeches and delightful delicacies.The letter of Pandit Nehru to his daughter, from his book “Letters from a Father to his Daughter” were read out and children were asked to preserve this innocence and joy of childhood as they grow up.
