Chandigarh Administration Gears Up for “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign.

In line with the nationwide celebration of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign from 2nd to 15th August 2024, the Chandigarh Administration is set to engage all sectors of society in this patriotic initiative.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of
Sh. Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh in which a comprehensive strategy has been developed, involving various departments and institutions, both government and private, to make the campaign a grand success.

Several programmes have been planned for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Nukkad Nataks will be organized at 2 to 3 prominent places in the city, where Tiranga Pledge will be administered to the public. A special theme-based event will be held at Tagore Theatre to celebrate the spirit of the campaign. Additionally, a painting workshop featuring 77 artists will be organized. Theme-based events will also be conducted during the weekends to engage the community. Special Har Ghar Tiranga themed programmes will be organized for the residents of old-age homes.

A Tiranga canvas will be set up at the programme venue, allowing people to write “Har Ghar Tiranga” or “Jai Hind” in local languages. The design template will be available for download on www.harghartiranga.com.

The Chandigarh Administration urges all residents to actively participate in these events and make the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign a memorable celebration of India’s unity and heritage.

The campaign, driven by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, encourages citizens to hoist the national flag at their premises and upload selfies with the flag on the official website, www.harghartiranga.com.

The Chandigarh Administration appeals to every resident to join hands in this patriotic initiative and contribute to the celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and unity.

Sh. Surender Singh Yadav DGP, Ms. Anindita Mitra, Commissioner Municipal Corporation ,Sh. Ajay Chagti, Secretary Personnel, , Sh.Vinay Pratap Singh Deputy Commissioner, Sh.Hari Kallikkat, Secretary, Public Relations and other officers of the Chandigarh Administration were also present during the meeting.
