Chandigarh, March 21 – President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Kumari Selja said that the BJP government has been attacking the interests of farmers with every decision. Linking mandis with Adani’s silo plant was an anti-farmer move. The Congress party will never allow this government’s conspiracy to succeed in selling the rights of farmers to the capitalists. Kumari Selja said that there was a possibility of damage to the wheat crop due to the rising temperature in the state and in view of this, the government should make a plan to compensate the farmers.
In a statement issued here, Kumari Selja said that in the letter issued by FCI Kaithal/Kurukshetra, it has been mentioned that the farmers, who bring their wheat crop to the grain markets located at Pehowa, Dhand, Pundri, Kaul, Pai, Solumajra, Gumthala should transport their wheat crop to the silo plant at Solumajra. This move of the government was completely anti-farmer. The government has taken a dangerous step towards eliminating the MSP mandis. With this step of government, the farmers, laborers and traders will be on the verge of ruin.
Kumari Selja said that the cost of farmers will increase and their time will be wasted in transporting the crop to the silo plant. Kumari Selja said that the BJP government was mortgaging the interests of farmers in the hands of capitalists. This cannot be tolerated at any cost. This was another step in the direction of abolishing the mandis of this government which had failed to implement the anti-agriculture laws. The Congress party will not allow these plans of the government to succeed at any cost.

There is a possibility of damage to the wheat crop due to increase in temperature, the government should compensate
On the other hand, Kumari Selja said that the standing crops of the farmers were repeatedly damaged due to accumulation of rain water and hailstorm, but no representative of the government reached to heal their wounds. Now in the month of March, there was a sudden increase in the temperature. Due to this, there was an estimate of 10 to 30 percent loss to wheat crop in different areas of the state. Due to the sudden increase in temperature, the wheat grain will become shriveled and the yield will be less. This will have a direct impact on the income of the farmer and his expenses will also become difficult to meet. In such a situation, the state government should make a plan to compensate the farmers for the damage caused to the crops with immediate effect.of damage to the wheat crop due to increase in temperature, the government should compensate
