Felicitation Ceremony for National and Inter National Gold, Silver, Bronze Medalists

Chandigarh , 21  February 2022: Sh Dharm Pal , Adviser to Administrator, felicitated various Winners of IndiaSkills 2021 , Nationals, Inter University, Junior World Cup at Sukhna Lake today.

More than 39 participants were brought together at one platform to honour their incredible performance at different levels.

felicitated by It was a joint event of Directorate of Technical Education and Department of Sports. It was delighted to witness the Champions at one platform.

Winners Included 11 students who won, Gold , Silver, Bronze and Medal of Excellence in various trades ie ITSSB, Industrial Control, Restaurant Service , Painting Decorating , Water Technology , Landscaping etc at India Skill Nationals held at Delhi.

The spectacular evening also brought together the sports players who have shown great performance in Athletic, boxing, cricket, hockey, Rowing, wrestling and weightlifting.

Chandigarh Administration also awarded to 15 Mentors of Technical Education and 9 Coaches of Education Department. Sh Dharm Pal shared that, “It’s been a delight to witness the quality of talent, passion and perseverance with which the candidates have competed at the IndiaSkills and National Competition. Congratulations to all the winners and participants.”I have personally met all the champions and I am certain that the future of skills is in safe hands with such an efficient workforce, he added.

The competition has been keeping pace with new evolving skill sets and includes the latest technology and techniques. The Government, industry and experts will work together to ensure that Team India is best equipped with the desired training and tools to perform their best at WorldSkills International Competition, which will be held in Shanghai, China later this year.

The Adviser shared that, “ I am certain we will bag more medals this year. I also ensure that Sport Department will also provide better facility to winners so that they can showcase their best performance”.

On this occasion , Sh SS Gill IAS , Secretary Technical Education –cum- Sports along with Sh Jagjit Singh ,PCS Director Technical Education and Sh. Tejdeep Singh Saini, Director Sports were also present.
