Tandon held a meeting with selectors, expressed hope for a better season
Conveyed wishes to Jay Shah for new responsibility as Chairman, ICC
Chandigarh, In view of the commencement of the BCCI’s domestic season from September, UTCA President Sanjay Tandon held a meeting with the selectors and support staff of various formats of the Chandigarh team and prepared a strategy for the preparation of the matches. During the meeting, Tandon reviewed the camps, selection matches and UTCA domestic season of both men and women. The selectors gave their opinion and emphasized that the players, too, are eager to perform well in this season. Tandon also expressed hope that after the successful conduct of Gully Cricket tournament, a robust and performing pool of players will be created in the UTCA domestic tournament. Present on the occasion includes UTCA’s Secretary Devendra Sharma and Treasurer CA Alok Krishan.
Tandon expressed best wishes to Jay Shah
UT Cricket Association’s President Sanjay Tandon has conveyed wishes to the present BCCI’s Secretary Jay Shah on being unanimously elected as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Describing Shah as a symbol of yuva shakti (youth power), Tandon said that his 15-year journey as a cricket administrator has been inspiring in itself where he has given a new dimension to cricket at every stage, be it Gujarat Cricket Association or BCCI or Asian Cricket Council. He said that apart from being an efficient cricket administrator, his foresight is commendable. Tandon expressed hope that during his tenure, ICC will also establish a new benchmark like the BCCI.
