NITTTR Chandigarh Hosts 14th Inter-NITTTR Sports Meet: A Celebration of Athletic Excellence
Chandigarh, February 20, 2024: The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh has kicked off the 14th Inter-NITTTR Sports Meet today, February 20th, 2024. This highly anticipated event brings together the collective talent and sportsmanship of all four NITTTRs – Chandigarh, Bhopal, Kolkata, and Chennai.
NITTTR Chandigarh, known for its pioneering spirit, initiated and hosted the first Inter-NITTTR Sports Meet back in 2006. Since then, it has become a cornerstone event fostering collaboration and synergy among the institutes.
Ms. Chahat Deep Kaur, an esteemed International Rifle Shooter, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, motivating the participants and officially declared the 14th Inter-NITTTR Sports Meet open.
Prof. B R Gurjar, Director of NITTTR Chandigarh, emphasized that the Inter-NITTTR Sports Meet goes beyond mere competition, serving as a platform to nurture teamwork, enthusiasm, and a healthy competitive spirit among all employees of the NITTTRs.
Joined by Prof. Chandra Charu Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, and administrative representatives from NITTTR Chennai and Kolkata, the event commenced with 102 players participating in seven different sports across 18 events over four action-packed days.
Prof. S. S. Gill, Chairperson of the Public Relations & Media Committee, NITTTR Chandigarh briefed the press regarding the events, schedule and pointed out the enthusiastic participation of all NITTTRs and highlighted the dedicated preparation for the event by the sports committee of the Institute.
