Pawan Bansal Declares Victory for Democracy: Supreme Court Ruling Exposes BJP’s Electoral Conspiracy
Chandigarh (Feb 20, 2024): In a landmark ruling on Tuesday, the Supreme Court delivered a historic verdict in favor of India Alliance in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, garnering praise from senior Congress leader and former Chandigarh MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal.
Bansal hailed the decision as a triumph for democracy, exposing what he described as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) intricate plot to manipulate and win the mayoral election through tactics of match-fixing, punishment, and discrimination.
“The Supreme Court has unraveled the truth behind BJP’s conspiracies in the Chandigarh Mayor elections. Upon scrutiny of the votes declared invalid, it was discovered that all eight votes were in favor of INDIA candidate Kuldeep Kumar. Shockingly, Presiding Officer Anil Masih himself marked these votes as invalid without any valid reason, leading to the rejection. Today, democracy has been saved from a potential demise. However, the fight for justice will persist,” commented Pawan Bansal.
Bansal expressed concern over the BJP’s tactics in a relatively small-town election and cautioned that the nation should take note of such maneuvers, raising apprehensions about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He asserted that the public, now awakened to the alleged assault on democracy by the BJP, will stand against such actions.
“The entire country is witnessing how the BJP employs such strategies even in a minor election in a small town. This raises serious questions about their conduct in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, the public will rise against the BJP, teaching them a lesson for the assault on democracy. The fight for justice and democratic values will endure,” Bansal affirmed.
