51,000 Appointment Letters distributed under 11th tranche of Rozgar Mela

PM congratulates the new recruits joining the government and urges them to contribute for ‘Viksit Bharat’

Chandigarh, November 30, 2023 – Rozgar Mela via Video Conferencing was held today at PG Government Girls College, Sector 42 Chandigarh. The Chief Guest for the event was Sri Som Prakash, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The 11th tranche of Rozgar Mela events was organised today at 37 locations across the country which was launched virtually by Prime Minister as he addressed the youth and congratulated all the newly appointed individuals through life telecast. Sh Rajesh Puri, Chief Commissioner, CGST Zone Chandigarh and Sh Hir Bhagat Negi, CGST Commissionerate, Chandigarh werev also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Shri Som Prakash handed over the appointment letters to the newly selected recruits. He reiterated government’s commitment to provide ten lakhs jobs in government sector. He also said that new recruits would play a very determining role in propelling India forward towards a brighter and promising future.He also said that the country has made unprecedented progress in the last nine years.

The event witnessed the distribution of approximately 51,000 appointment letters appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in Government departments and organizations via video conferencing. Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed employees , and said that this will bring a new ray of hope not only to the appointees, but also to millions of families across the country. Furthermore, he highlighted the government’s dedication to employment generation by emphasizing the regular organization of Rozgar Melas ensuring that more families will be appointed to government jobs in the future. The Prime Minister emphasized that the recurring Rozgar Melas have become a distinguishing characteristic of the current government, signifying the government’s commitment to realizing its resolution of providing 10 lakh government jobs and providing the youth with ample opportunities to realize the nation’s dream of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
This is a major step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
In addition to the distribution of appointment letters, the Prime Minister drew attention to the iGOT Karmyogi platform, where more than 800 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format for government servants to be engaged in online courses for personal development alongside their official training and capacity building. He emphasized the importance of self-learning through technology and expressed his belief that it presents a valuable opportunity for the current generation.He also laid emphasis on the determination to keep learning and work towards nation building with utmost dedication.
