A talk on Inclusive Development in India organized
Chandigarh : The Department of Philosophy in association with the Department of Political Science of Post Graduate Govt. College, Sector-46, Chandigarh organized a Lecture on the topic Inclusive Development in India . Dr. Abha Sudarshan, Principal of the college welcomed the speaker, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Associate Professor, P.G. Department of Sociology, Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh. Dr. Gobind Chandra Sethi, Head, Department of Political Science introduced the theme of the lecture.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, in his lecture averred that inclusive development promotes fair opportunities for all, regardless of social and financial standing, with advantages accruing to each and every segment of society. Improved access to essential services such as water, sanitation, housing, electricity etc., as well as targeted efforts for the underprivileged population shall go a long way in building an even more inclusive India. He answered all the questions raised by students and participants.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Dean), Dr. Baljit Singh (Vice-Principal) and Ms. Jyoti (Faculty of Political Science) were also present on the occasion. Dr. Desh Raj Sirswal (Head, Department of Philosophy) delivered a vote of thanks
