Eviction Drive at Furniture Market- Sector-54 Chandigarh
Today i.e. on 10.08.2023, an encroachment removal drive was carried out by Chandigarh Housing Board in Sector-54 Chandigarh. Some furniture items were kept at the land of the Chandigarh Housing Board in Sector-54 and such activities were not stopped despite repeated warnings by the Chandigarh Housing Board. Some of the dealers weremanufacturing/polishing of furniture on the CHB land. All furniture found on the land of the Chandigarh Housing Board were removed and taken away in three truck loads.
Some dealers of the furniture market are using the CHB land despite repeated warning for parking of their trucks also to transport the furniture items. During next eviction drive, such vehicles will also be confiscated alongwith the furniture items found on the land of the Chandigarh Housing Board.
No one should attempt to encroach or keep any item on the land belonging to the Chandigarh Housing Board. All concerned are again warned that even temporary encroachments during the day also will not be tolerated on CHB land. Items/Vehicles on the vacant land of the Chandigarh Housing Board will be confiscated.
