Chandigarh Administration has kick started the programme Meri Mati Mera Desh

As per the directions of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Chandigarh Administration has kick started the programme Meri Mati Mera Desh to mark the culmination of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Meri Mati Mera Desh programme commenced on 09th August, 2023 and will end on 13th August, 2023.

​In this regard, various events have been chalked out by the Departments of Chandigarh Administration from 09th August, 2023 to 30th August, 2023 to celebrate this programme in a befitting manner.

​A 10 km. Marathon was organized by Sports Department today for the awareness regarding the above said programme which was flagged off by Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Sh. Vinod P. Kavle, IAS, Secretary Sports, Ms. Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, Special Secretary Finance, Sh. T.C. Nautiyal, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Sh. Sorabh Kumar Arora, PCS, Director Sports, Dr. Sunil Rayat, Joint Director Sports, Sh. Dharmendra Mehta, District Sports Officer and all the coaches of Sports Department alongwith 125 sports trainees took part in the Marathon as part of this programme. All the participants also took Panch Pran Press Pledge.
