Chandigarh, 9th August 2023: In a remarkable collaborative effort, Sonia Mann, the visionary behind Mai Bhago Charity, and Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, the founder of World Cancer Care, united their endeavors to host the Guru Ram Das Ji Kisan Majdoor Sehat Mela on August 6th at Rajasansi Dana Mandi, Amritsar. This event marked a significant stride towards holistic community welfare.
Vikram Singh Sahani, a revered Rajya Sabha Member and the Sun Foundation’s founder enriched the event with his insights on technical education, addiction recovery support, job opportunities for recovering patients, and the provision of free medicines for ENT patients. The confluence of technical empowerment and healthcare access promises to uplift vulnerable sections of society.
The Guru Ram Das Ji Kisan Majdoor Sehat Mela saw the convergence of key figures like Dr Balbir Singh, Punjab’s Health Minister, and Gurmit Singh, the state’s Agriculture Minister. Horticulture Ministry’s Chetan Singh Jauramajra, DC of Amritsar, Atari MLA Jaswinder Singh, and health advocate Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal lent their support. Notably, renowned Film-Director Amitoj Maan added significance. The event was elevated by the mesmerizing performance of legendary singer Kanwar Grewal, enriching the cause with cultural flair. A collective effort showcased holistic well-being and cultural celebration.
