Press Information Bureau organised a ‘Vartalap’ event in Jalandhar today. The vartalaap also saw panel discussions on two pivotal subjects of “Brain Gain and Brain Drain” and the “New Education Policy.”
Presiding over the Vaartalap, Additional Director General, Chandigarh Shri Rajinder Chaudhry delivered an engaging presentation on “Nine Years of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan.” His address shed light on the progress made in governance and welfare initiatives, showcasing the government’s commitment to inclusive development in the last 9 years.
Sh Chaudhry also emphasized on the pressing need for skill development in our youth. His address shed light on the transformative potential of honing the talents of our young generation to propel India’s progress on a global stage. Shri Chaudhary stated, “Empowering our youth with the right skills is imperative for their holistic development and the nation’s growth. Skill development is the key to unlocking their true potential and ensuring a prosperous future.”
The panel discussions commenced with the topic “Brain Gain and Brain Drain,” featuring prominent personalities like Ms. Mandeep Kaur Tangra, CEO of SimbaQuartz, and Dr. Gurjot Kaur, Dean of Social Sciences at KMV College. Their engaging discourse provided valuable insights into retaining talent within the country and fostering an environment that nurtures innovation. Ms. Tangra expressed, “By harnessing our homegrown talent, we can effectively transform brain drain into brain gain, propelling India towards greater heights.”

The “New Education Policy” discussion followed, with Sh. K.S. Randhawa, Principal of MGN School, offering his expertise on the policy’s impact on the education sector.
