All India Quiz on Financial Literacy at State level for the state of Haryana organized by Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh on July 17, 2023
A Quiz on Financial Literacy was organised across state of Haryana for students in classes VIII, IX and X of Government/Municipal schools by Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh with a vision to create awareness regarding financial literacy among school students. The quiz was earlier conducted at the Tehsil and District level. About 3200 students participated in Tehsil level and 92 teams competed with each other at District Level. The State-level quiz for the state of Haryana was conducted on July 17, and 20 teams participated.
Quiz was inaugurated by Shri Vivek Srivastava, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh and Shri Rajesh Khullar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of School Education attended the event as an eminent Guest.
Questions related to financial literacy including those related to state of Haryana, G-20, Reserve Bank of India and other regulatory bodies, banking, financial sector and economic were asked. Top six teams from the State competed with each other and a team of GSSS Shahbazpur, Padianwas from district Rewari comprising Master Bharat and Master Amit emerged winner at State level. A team of Master Dhruv and Master Chirag Garg from GMSSSS, Narnaul District Mahendergarh came second and A team of Ms. Chanda Kumari and Kanishka from GMSSS, Sector 20, Panchkula remained third.
The top three winning teams were awarded trophies/ Prize Money. Students from nearby schools participated in the event as an audience and a skit on Financial Literacy messages was also presented for better dissemination of information on safe banking and prevention of cyber frauds. Attractive prizes were also given during the event.
