The Excise & Taxation Department, U.T., Chandigarh had invited the e-bids for remaining liquor vends in its 4th round of e-tending. The last date to receive the bid was fixed for 31.03.2023. Department received total 08 tenders/bids electronically against 07 liquor vends/ licensing units having a reserve price of Rs. 35.89 crores. The Department collected total revenue of Rs. 36.38 crores in the shape of license fees.
In the earlier round of tenders, Department had allotted 59 liquor vends through e-tender process. Department has so far received a total bid amount of Rs. 334.55 crore against reserve price of Rs. 310.97 crore from total allotted 66 liquor vend thus, registered a total increase of 7.58% over the total Reserve Price.
Further, after the 4th round of bidding, the Department is in the process of publishing tenders for the fifth round of bidding for leftover vends with a reduction in reserve price.
