Jan Bhagidari Events around First G20 International Financial Architecture (IFA) Working Group Meeting, by Reserve Bank of India, in Chandigarh
As India assumed G20 Presidency on December 01, 2022, the aim is to make the Presidency a truly people’s event by engaging citizens with the G20 events. The collaborative efforts with stakeholders and citizens is engaging the attention people at large and is likely to invoke their interest in the G20 activities.
As a part of G20 ‘Jan Bhagidari’ events, Reserve Bank of India, Banking Ombudsman Chandigarh conducted an awareness programme in the area of customer protection on January 27, 2023, for the faculty members and students of DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh with the objective to improve customer service for RBI regulated entities. The major aspects highlighted during session were:
i. Internal Grievance Redress Mechanism of the entities regulated by the RBI.
ii. Details of cost-free Alternate Grievance Redress Mechanism of RBI, and
iii. Safe banking practices for the customers of the entities regulated by RBI.
The session was followed by a quiz for the participants.
Further, a painting competition was organized in the Gurukul Global School, Sector 20, Panchkula on January 25, 2023. Around 250 children from the school participated in the competition and showcased their painting talent on themes relevant and in line with the broader theme of the G20, such as ‘Climate Change’, ‘World is my family’ and ‘Women Empowerment’.
