As part of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord top priority to employment generation in the country, Rozgar Melas were organized at 45 places across the country. On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters (OOA) to 71,000 newly recruited youth through video conference. The Prime Minister also learned about the experiences of the newly recruited youth.
Union Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries Shri Krishan Pal handed over appointment letters for various posts to 48 youths at the third Rozgar Mela organized by the Central Goods and Services Tax Department, Panchkula today at National Institute of Fashion Technology, Sector 23, as part of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord top priority to employment generation in the country.
Addressing the program as the chief guest, Shri Krishan Pal said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always emphasized on employment generation, innovation and leveraging technology and considering citizens as the main goal in various sectors of the economy. He said that the Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord priority to employment generation in the country. In the past, all important aspects like Make in India, Start up India, production linked incentives and skill development programs have been major contributors to employment generation for the youth of the country. The job fair (Rozgar Mela) will act as an assistant in employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and direct participation in national development.
The Union Minister said that the recruitment drive is going on in the country in mission mode, under which a target has been set to provide about 10 lakh jobs in a year. This will create additional employment opportunities in private and public sectors. He informed that today more than 71 thousand appointed candidates in government departments and organizations will take charge on various posts in departments like Railways, Health, Posts, Revenue and Labor and Employment.
He said that the newly recruited officers will join the government at a time when the country is celebrating 75 years of independence and they will get a golden opportunity to serve the people of the country during the next 25 years of Amrit Kaal and will be a grand witness of @2047. Large number of recruitment across the country will also give a boost to economic activities. He said that apart from making large scale recruitments, special attention is also being given to give timely promotions to all the officers working in various government organizations. He said that with timely promotions at all levels, more vacancies would be created at entry level posts.
On this occasion, Rajesh Sodhi, Chief Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Panchkula, in his welcome address welcomed the chief guest, while Commissioner Mr. Rajan Dutt presented vote of thanks.
Former Union Minister of State and presently Lok Sabha MP from Ambala Mr. Ratan Lal Kataria, Mayor of Panchkula Mr. Kulbhushan Goyal, officers of Central Goods and Services Tax Panchkula and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
