Celebration of Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand (National Youth Day) in Girls Hostel No.02
The residents and staff of Laxmi Bai Hall (GH2) celebrated National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand to recognize and pay homage to the teaching and preachings of Swami Vivekananda. The residents were informed about the life and contribution of Swami Vivekanand to Indian culture and its growth. The main purpose of celebrating National Youth Day is to promote the ideals and ideologies of Swami Vivekananda among the youth. To encourage them to embrace the teachings of Swami ji in their life to find the path to enlightenment.
Swami Vivekanand has been one of the most profound spiritual leaders in India. As a philosopher, thinker and patriot, he had an immense contribution to the Indian Freedom Struggle against the oppressive British Rule in India. National Youth Day is celebrated on 12th January 1984 when the Government of India declared that National Youth Day will be celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
