· With a deep sense of sorrow, I may inform the honorable members of this August House about the sad demise of Professor Rakesh Datta, former Chairperson of the Centre for Defence & National Security Studies, who had also rendered distinguished services as Chief of University Security on August 22, 2022.

· I may inform the Hon’ble members that in compliance of the orders passed by the Hon’ble Bench of Punjab & Haryana High Court in LPA 1505 of 2016 titled as Amrik Singh Ahluwalia and another Vs. Panjab University & others and in the connected cases, wherein all the interim stay orders passed in these cases have been vacated, 58 faculty members have been relieved with immediate effect on 22.9.2022.
