Ist Memorial Lecture in memory of Late Aneesh Bhanot at SCS,PU

 

The Young Communicators Club (YCC), School of Communication Studies (SCS), Panjab University, and the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) organised 1st Aneesh Bhanot Memorial Lecture “Communication for Social Change”. The event was organised in the memory of Mr. Aneesh Bhanot, former Chairman of PRCI, Chandigarh Chapter.

The guest of honour, Mrs. Shanti Bhanot, wife of Late, Mr. Aneesh Bhanot, while remembering his never-die-attitude and carried each project with strong conviction and belief.

Mr Vivek Atray ,Chairman of Chandigarh chapter, PRCI shared that he strived for perfection in whatever he did and was always very straightforward and minced no words in saying spade-a-spade. He urged the students to be communicative in their endeavors for tangible results.

Ms. Renuka Salwan, North Zone Chairperson, PRCI whike cherishing some fond memories of Late, Mr. Aneesh Bhanot, added that he was a multifaceted personality and worked extensively for creating social awareness through his innovative ideas and will always be remembered for his contribution for visually challenged.
Mr. Ojaswwee Sharma,Indian Film Director, Trans-media Producer and Screenwriter, heading the film company Pinaka Mediaworks , Rolling Frames Motion Pictures and Channel Rolling Frames Entertainment gave a detailed presentation on the social awareness campaigns conceived with Late Aneesh Bhanot. He informed the various stages of a hit campaign titled “Visually Fit” and discussed the success of fund raising for visually challenged by organising “Dinner in the Dark”.

The session was interactive by showing a power-point presentation in which each slide had a story to tell. His talk was centred around Mr Bhanot’s achievements and the campaigns he organised. It was informed how Aneesh believed in people and always acknowledged the good work in others. He was receptive to innovation and his work was always full of wit and humour.

Earlier, Prof Sumedha Singh, Chairperson, SCS while welcoming the guests urged students to learn from the innovative ways of communication of Aneesh.

Ms Manjit Kaur, past President of Rotary Chandigarh Shivalik was also present and shared how Aneesh used to put life into everything he did and was always focussed on helping society with his work.
