MBA Hospital and Pharmaceutical Management sectoral students of the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences organised an expository workshop on World Health Day, celebrated the world over on 7th April, 2022.
Prof. Nishi Sharma, Director UIAMS presided over the inaugural ceremony of the workshop, which was coordinated by Dr. Manjushri Sharma and Dr. Ajay Dogra.
Dr. Anurag Sharma, Chairman Cardiac Sciences at Ojas Super Specialty Hospital, Panchkula was the guest of honour. While interacting with the students, Dr. Anurag highlighted the concept of holistic health, that emphasises on all the dimensions of health, especially the mental, social and spiritual health. He encouraged the students to make wise choices when it comes to lifestyle. He emphasised the importance of moderation in consumption of food products, abstaining from smoking, and practising a healthy sleep habit. He summarised his talk by sharing a well reserved secret of healthy life; and that is by strengthening four pillars of health- aachar (behaviour), aahar (diet), Vichar (thoughts) and vihaar (relationship).
Dr. Gurpreet, SPS Hospital, Ludhiana and Dr. Monisha Jolly, General Hospital, Panchkula were the expert speakers for plenary session. While interacting with the students they both shared their journey and experiences.
