TBCON 2022 to start tomorrow
A two day CME cum workshop on Tuberculosis will be held tomorrow on 25th and 26th March 2022 on world Tb week in department of Medical Microbiology , PGI Chandigarh. Dr. Sunil Sethi Professor and organising secretary of TB con 2022 said that over 300 delgates from all over India will be attending this event, The objective of CME and workshop on World TB week is to educate and train doctors regarding the development in new diagnostics and treatment of TB . This is very important as all doctors and Private Practioners need to update their knowledge regarding diagnosis and Management to achieve the target of ending TB by 2025 as this is everchanging field
Dr. Rajinder P Joshi Deputy Director General, Central TB division will inaugurate the TBCON 2022 and will deliver Key note on National TB elimination Programme in India
The CME will focus on New diagnostic techniques like CBNAAT, Line probe assay, LAMP, NGS, MALDI TOF which can detect TB in 2 hrs to 72 hrs otherwise which used to take 4 to 6 weeks to detect. Newer tests which have come up recently will be discussed
Moreover Newer Treatment regimens will also be discussed
All the doctors working on Tb will be trained regarding the latest techniques and tests for diagnosis of TB in the Workshop on 25th March 2022
This will be good platform for doctors to update knowledge about recent advances in diagnosis and Management of TB
