PGIMER will open registration counters for walk-in patients from 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM w.e.f. 14th February, 2022.

PGIMER has been providing Emergency Outpatient Services 24×7 during this COVID-19 pandemic. Elective Outpatient Services are presently being provided in PGIMER through Tele-consultation and by prior appointments for patients who need physical consultations.  This was done with the primary aim of preventing exposure of patients with co-morbidities to COVID-19 infection.  In view of the decrease in COVID-19 numbers, the institute has now decided to attempt to scale up the physical elective outpatient services.

In this phase, the current practice of calling patients by appointment through Tele- consultation will continue. In addition, registration counters will be opened from 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM only for registration of walk-in patients. This will ensure requisite physical distancing amongst patients/attendants visiting the OPDs. Overcrowding can still lead to an outbreak of COVID-19 infection amongst patients and healthcare workers.
