410-gram heroin seized in Fatehabad, woman among four held
The contraband was worth Rs 40 lakh, police also seized Rs 1 lakh in cash
Chandigarh, Feb 7 – Haryana Police have seized 410-gram heroin from a car and arrested four persons including a woman in this connection in Fatehabad district. The estimated value of the seized drug is around Rs 40 lakh.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that police has also recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash from the arrested persons.
The accused – identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Kipa, Rajo Bai alias Rajkaur, Rajdeep Singh alias Sonu and Rinku Ram – were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The crackdown was made by a team of the crime investigation agency.
A primary probe revealed that the accused had brought the seized contraband from Delhi to supply it in the local area.
During checking on Tohana-Narwana road, the police team signalled a car to stop for checking, but the driver tried to flee towards Tohana side but was nabbed. When searched, 410-gram heroin was recovered from the possession of arrested accused.
After the registration of the case, further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of others in the drug racket.
