In the amidst of 3rd wave of Covid, with super spreading of the covid amongst the masses, the blood and the blood products are falling short in the blood banks. To help in the cause and to create awareness and motivate the younger generation to come forward to donate blood. 31st Blood donation camp held on 23rd January 2022 at jain sthanak sector 18d Chandigarh organised by (in association with PGIMER, Chandigarh) Col K C Jain Shiksha Jain Charitable Trust and Shri Mahavir Jain Yuvak Mandal (MJYM) sector 18 Chandigarh under the aegis of Shri S.S Jain Sabha, Chandigarh (Regd.)
Braving chilly winds and heavy rains, the younger generation came forward in good numbers and about 53 people donated blood for the noble cause.
This has been a regular feature for the yuvak mandal and the trust who jointly have always been working on many projects for the Wefare of the society since the Covid started in March 2020 including providing cooked food twice a day for the homeless for 2 months in association with the Chandigarh administration during the 1st lockdown.
The president of the Yuvak Mandal, Mr Adish Jain and the trustees of the trust Mr Vivek Jain and Shaman Jain said that they would continue with dosing welfare activities for the society with much more vigour as more and more youngsters are joining the cause.
Prof Sandeep Bansal of Department of ENT, PGI, motivated the young brigade to organise the camp on the call of the department of Transfusion medicine of PGI, Chandigarh.
