Shot in the arm for Congress as BJP Yuva Morcha leaders join party
Chandigarh, December 8: BJP Yuva Morcha leaders and workers joined Congress Congress in the presence of party’s election coordinators Rajendra Rana and Abhishek Dutt and Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee President, Subash Chawla at party office in sector 35 here on Wednesday.
Those joined Congress party are Shashank Butt; District President Yuva Morcha, Shorabh Khan; general secretary, Ajay Bhardwaj; vice president, Abhishek Dhiman; ward president, Khalid Quereshi; executive member, Malkit Singh Kaka; Indira Colony President and party youth workers Azad, Happy, Ravi and Shahid Khan.
Speaking during occasion, Rajendra Rana said that all those be it leaders and workers belonging to various opposition political parties and common people who wish to see Chandigarh at the top rank again in beautification and development, are joining hands with Congress. During BJP regime in MC, city name has been tarnished at national and international levels. BJP reverse countdown has already started with defeat in HP bye poll and Chandigarh people will deliver another solid punch on BJP face by ousting it from its misrule in Chandigarh.
“The city known as ‘City Beautiful’ was slipped from top three to the 66th place in clean city list, thus it’s time to oust the BJP from corporation to restore the glory of Chandigarh”, said Subhash Chawla.
BJP leaders from Maloya join Congress
In another function held at Congress Bhawan, hundreds of BJP workers from Maloya led by Parmila @ Kanya, Raja Khan, Distt. President, Minority Cell, Rajesh Kumar Raju, State Secretary, SC Morcha, Ram Singh Rana, Satish Kumar Rana, Nimma Khan, Javed Ali Khan, Taranjeet Singh Brar today joined Congress Party in presence of Rajinder Rana, MLA, Abhishek Dutt and Subhash Chawla, President of CTCC and they vowed their support to Congress Candidate from Ward No. 28 Smt. Nirmala Devi. Congress President Subhash Chawla while addressing the gathering said that the general public is fed up with BJP over its poor performance in city, the people have been burdened with water tariff hike and other taxes.
Amongst others who spoke on the occasion were Abhishek Dutt and Munish Bansal.
D.D. Jindal, Bhupinder Singh Badheri, Achhe Lal Gaur, Rajesh Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Haffiz Anwar UI-Haq and Jannat Jahan were also presented during occasion.
