With the Inauguration of e-Office, PGIMER implements another Commendable Technological Advancement to enhance Efficiency & Transparency
Chandigarh : 26 October : Adding one more milestone to its accomplished profile, PGIMER takes another commendable technological advancement initiativeas a new e-Office was inaugurated by Prof. Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER here at PGIMER today.
While launching the e-office application, Prof. Jagat Ram stated, “Governance processes are based around creation of files, receipts, notings in hard copy on the file. In a big tertiary care Institute like PGIMER, quick decision making can bring a difference in overall efficiency in patient care and facilitate various citizen centric services efficiently. PGIMER is an Institute of national importance and always remained a forerunner in providing best healthcare services.”
“E-office will revolutionize the office working and will bring transparency and efficiency by reducing the delays in processing of files. PGIMER has always adopted technological advancements to bring efficiency in its working,” shared the Director PGIMER
To implement e-office in the Institute, Computer Section has spearheaded the implementation of e-Office under the guidance of Sh. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Deputy Director (Administration).
Detailing about the benefits with the launch of this initiative, Sh. Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, informed, “e-office lays stress on transparency, efficiency and effectiveness. It enables faster movement of files at the click of the mouse and thereby enables quicker disposal of files and at the same time enables permanent restoration of record which can be retrieved any time. Besides this, it can be worked from home, through desktop, laptop or mobiles”
Sh. Kumar Dhawan also thanked the Director, PGIMER for his guidance and support in initiating this application. He also acknowledged 100% support of Sh. Kumar Abhay, Financial Advisor of the Institute.
Sh. Naveen Bindra, System Analyst further detailed that for ensuring smooth transition from manual work to e-Office, a number of trainings sessions were held for the employees of the Institute. To begin with all the administrative departments have been taken up for this initiative and later on other clinical departments will be covered. Dean (Academics) Prof. G.D.Puri, Dean (Research) Prof. A.K.Gupta, Sub Dean (Research) Prof.K.Gauba and Financial Advisor, Sh.Kumar Abhay also expressed their views.
