UIPS, Panjab University retains NIRF Rank 2
Continuing with the legacy, the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, has been ranked number 2 among the Pharmacy institutions across the Nation consecutively for the third time, since 2018. The ranking was declared today under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) organized by Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Prof. Indu Pal Kaur, Chairperson said that this coveted achievement of UIPS is attributed to its rich heritage, globally acclaimed faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, great teamwork and excellent research outcomes. The high prowess in publications (~350); high quality research output in terms of patents (Granted: 08; Published & Filed: 06), technology-transfers to industry (06) and grants; academics and collaborative outputs are the main strengths of UIPS.
NIRF outlines a methodology to rank institutions on “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Peer Perception,” parameters.
The top ranking institute is just 0.53 points ahead of UIPS. The award yet again testifies and reiterates the excellent academic and research standards maintained by UIPS.
