Sudha Society Foundation Gurugram along with its activists and dignitaries of society celebrated National Literacy Day on 8/9/21, Chairman Shri GK Bhatnagar told that the 86th Amendment Act was passed in the Indian Parliament in the year 2002. Under which education was given the status of a fundamental right for the children of 6-14 years.
The Government of India has also taken many steps to increase the literacy rate in the country, but despite this, the expected success has not been achieved in the development of its literacy rate.
Ms.Ruchi Saxena President said that Sudha is trying hard in this field and has been running Nihshulk Open School for past 11/12 years to make the boys and girls of the lower class of the society literate. As a result, about 600-700 children have been benefitted so far. Then these children are admitted to the big school. Sudha provides them books and copies as support to their studies. On this day a meritorious student of class IX was given computer system for attending online classes
Apart frm this, many children are taught by team of sudha volunteers online due to Corona. Our teachers/ volunteers teaching are Deepti Goyal, Pooja Bhardwaj ‘Kiran, Neelima Tomas ‘ Aashima ‘ Sonia bhatia, Sangita Gupta, Sunita yadav etc.
