3rd NBRCOM 2021 a remarkable platform to encourage young pool of Scientists in the country: Director PGIMER

Chandigarh : August 26 : Society of young biomedical scientists-India is going to organize 3rd National Biomedical Research Competition (3rd NBRCOM 2021-online mode) on 6-10 December 2021. The aim of such events is to nurture the young talents and promote science in the society. Prof. Jagat Ram, Director PGI Chandigarh released the poster of the event and expressed his full support for the successful completion of the event. He appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and said such events are very important to screen the budding scientists who can come up as ambassadors of science to the society. Such events will attract the brilliant minds, trigger their capabilities and motivate them to do the good work for the society.

Society of young biomedical scientists-India is an umbrella banner where every year young researchers and scientists from various fields of biomedical sciences like Medical Science, Life Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Biomedical Engineering etc. gather under a single platform across the country. This National level scientific competition is being organized  in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)-Delhi, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER)-Chandigarh, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Rishikesh, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Mohali, Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI)-Lucknow, Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (I-I-T-R)-Lucknow, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS)-Patna, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Jodhpur and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Bhopal.

The 3rd National Biomedical Research Competition (NBRcom) will include oral presentations followed by guest lectures from eminent speakers in the field of biomedical science. The research competition aims at promoting networking among researchers of varied areas, broadening their knowledge horizon, and equipping them with frontline and cutting edge research skills so as to bring paradigm shift in the field of biomedical science and technology at the national level. The young researcher award (1st, 2nd and 3rd winners) and Award of Appreciation (4th to 10th rankers) are presented to the winners of each category with four lakh cash prizes (1 lakh in each category). Prominent members of the organizing team are Dr Ashok Kumar Yadav (Convener), Dr Avaneesh Kumar Pandey (Coordinator,PGI Chandigarh), Rohitash Yadav (President, AIIMS Rishikesh) and Dr Ripu Daman Parihar, National Youth Awardee, Govt. of India, (Advisor, University of Jammu).
