7-Days Online Faculty Development Programme on the theme Search, Research and Publication Ethics for faculty members of colleges and universities belonging to all disciplines and streams started today.
The course is orgainsed by UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University, Chandigarh and Post Graduate Government College for Girls Sector 42, Chandigarh (under the aegis of RUSA, UT, Chandigarh).
Inaugural session was presided over by the, Honorary Director, HRDC, Prof S K Tomar and former vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University Prof B S Dhaiya was the Chief Guest.
Prof Dhaiya discussed how researchers need to formulate their problem and present their result from the data obtained during the study period.
Dr Dilip Kumar who was Guest of Hounour for the programme, briefed about the importance of research for teaching fraternity.
Prof Nisha Aggarwal Principal PGGCG 42 Chandigarh thanked UGC-HRDC, PU, Chandigarh for granting permission to do this course.
Dr Wiqas Ghai, Associate Professor, from RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh and Prof Sunil Dutt from NITTTR, Chandigarh took the two technical sessions of the day. 41 participants from all over India have enrolled for the programme. Prof Punam Aggarwal is Coordinator and Dr Preeti Sharda is Co-coordinator of the programme.
