Chandigarh, May 19 – President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that the corona virus is spreading rapidly among people of Haryana and instead of preventing it, the BJP-JJP government of Haryana is focusing on making false announcements and hiding the figures of corona victims and deaths due to which people of the state are suffering. In order to hide the number of corona infected, the Haryana government is not paying any attention towards testing in rural areas due to which corona virus is spreading rapidly in the state and the number of death in increasing for which the government is directly responsible, she added.

Kumari Selja said that Corona patients are neither getting treatment nor medicines in the state. A large number of people are dying. According to the government’s official data, about 2000 persons died due to corona in 22 districts of the state from May 1 to 13, but according to the reports received from field, more than 4000 deaths have taken place in 13 districts of Haryana during this period. If the figure of the remaining 9 districts is added to these, the actual number of death will be even more, said Kumari Selja.

Surprised at Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s statement that the government will not let corona spread in the villages, Kumari Selja said that truth is that the corona virus has already reached most of the households in the rural areas. Corona has been wreaking havoc in villages for more than a month. People in rural areas are neither getting medicines nor treatment. Neither the government is paying much attention to testing in rural areas. For the last one month, people have been dying continuously. The actual number of deaths is many times more than official figures, but the Chief Minister does not see the pain and sufferings of people who have lost their loved ones. Whether the Chief Minister is not aware of the ground reality or he deliberately does not want to see the truth, she asked.
