Chadigarh : March 16 : “There is unnecessary phobia around the vaccination. The process is so simple and like any other vaccination, it takes only two minutes,” stated smiling Ms Aruna Chaudhary, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Punjab after she got vaccinated here at vaccination centre at PGIMER today.
Ms. Aruna Chaudhary was administered Covishield vaccine at the vaccination centre at Nehru Hospital Extension (NHE) at PGIMER.
The Minister interacted with the staff on duty and commended them for doing a good job as she said,”The staff at the vaccination centres have dual responsibility of not only vaccinating people who are walking -in but also giving them a good experience so that they motivate others to join the drive. And vaccination centre at PGIMER is definitely setting a role-model in giving a good experience.”
The Cabinet Minister having the charge of Social Security and Women and Child Development in the Govt. of Punjab urged others to come forward as she stated, ”With the Covid cases surging, I don’t think we need anything else to prove the importance of vaccine.So vaccination and the mandate of wearing a mask, hand hygiene and maintaining social distance will only cut the transmission. It is not for the hospitals, but the citizens who have to play a pivotal role in cutting the transmission by following COVID Appropriate Behavior.” summed up the Hon’ble Minister.
