Panjab University launched its 7th ONLINE Self Development Programme in the workshop mode in association with the UConnect, Heartful Campus of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Kanha Shantivanam, Hyderabad,yesterday, on 9th January 2021. This would be a WEEKEND course with one hour sessions on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
It’s a unique programme for Personality Development which focuses on the development of inner-self using the ancient art of Indian philosophical wisdom where Heart centric approach of meditation is the mainstay. On line lectures by eminent experts on various topics along with practice would be taken. Themes like EMOTIONAL STRENGTH, STRES and TIME MANAGEMENT, MULTITASKING, ATTITUDE BUILDING, MASTERING THE ART OF HEARTFUL COMMUNICATION, WILL POWER DEVELOPMENT would be taken up.
Prof Rajkumar, PU Vice Chancellor, in the inaugural address expressed belief in inner engineering which can serve as the core for all young students to give their best as per their own potential.
Brigadier Narinder, tricity zone coordinator for Hearfulness Institute, Chandigarh said that life is not all about experiencing as it exists but to make efforts to create new horizons and dimensions, by our right thoughts and actions.
AIWC Vice president Dr. Bhavna Joshipura, a Women social activist from Rajkot, the chief guest expressed her deep appreciation for this unique endeavor. She said she would encourage students from Gujrat to participate in this, considering the unique character of the program.
Prof Nandita Singh and Prof OP Katare, coordinators of the on campus programme since last six years had initiated this programme in collaboration with Sri Ram chandra Mission chennai ‘s U Connect programme.
More than 170 aspirants from across the country joined the inaugural online programme.
Dr. Monica and students of the sixth batch of SDP shared their amazing experiential journey. Ms Kanika Thakur , who was among the first batch joined SDP and shared her ascent and benefits from the practice of meditation from FRANKFURT Germany, her current location of employment.
Resource persons for the SDP sessions Manveen Sabbharwal, Anirudh Dhanda, Indu Aggarwal , Deepak Sharma, Mrs. Sonia and many others were also present.
Panjab University was awarded the Heartfulness Institute Recognition award in 2020 at Kanha Shantivanam, Hyderabad at the world’s biggest( one lakh capacity) Meditation Hall which was inaugurated by President of India on 2nd February 2020.
