Chandigarh, Nov 13 – The Director General of Police, Haryana, Sh. Manoj Yadava has extended greetings and good wishes to the people of the State, family of martyrs and all ranks of Haryana Police on the eve of the festival of lights ‘Deepawali’.
Underlining the significance of the festival of lights, the DGP said that Diwali is a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity which reminds us of our duty to share our joy and happiness with all sections of the society.
Calling upon the people to celebrate a green and Covid free Diwali, he also urged them to keep on extending their active cooperation during the festival. “In view of the present Covid-19 situation and rising levels of pollution, everyone should adhere to the guidelines issued by authorities concerned in this regard. Everybody needs to be well aware and must observe certain precautions such as using mask and maintaining social distance during the festival season,” he added.
Describing public safety as top priority, the DGP said that Haryana Police has put in place elaborate precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident during Diwali so that the festival of lights could be celebrated with full enthusiasm and happiness across the State.
All the Commissioners of Police and district Superintendents of Police have been instructed to shoulder the responsibility with utmost dedication on the day of festival and ensure a safe and secure Diwali for all across the State.
