Today on 03.11.2020 in the office of the BJP, Chandigarh, the first meeting of the newly elected/constituted legal cell for BJP, Chandigarh was undertaken, under the ageis of Arun Sood, President BJP, Chandigarh Berjeshwar Jaswal, Advocate (Convener), in which the new office bearers were declared.

Arun Sood, President BJP Chandigarh stated, that he himself, is an advocate & having remained in active practice, has experienced how an advocate can help the society in a constructive manner by giving assistance to the needy and making people aware of their rights. He further, emphasized, that legal fraternity and especially the legal department should make endeavors for explaining the far reaching benefits of various welfare legislations and schemes being formulated by the Central government, and should fight against misinformation. Berjeshwar Jaswal, Advocate (Convener), stated that the legal Department, shall endeavor to work for the Backward Classes along with Women and Child welfare and shall provide for free legal aid every month to needy cases. he further, said , the legal department shall conduct free legal aid Clinic in the Colonies of Chandigarh so that effective legal aid can be provided to the residents. It was further, provided that the Welfare schemes and policy/ acts of the Central government shall be brought to the notice of the general public.
