World Stroke Day- 29th October, Chandigarh Health Department has organised virtual Health talk on Stroke management and Post Stroke Rehabilitation . Eminent Speakers , Professor Dheeraj Khurana from the Neurology Department , PGIMER , Mr. Rajan from Physiotherapy Department PGIMER and Dr. Manjeet Singh Trehan from Department of Medicine , GMSH 16 stressed upon adoption of healthy lifestyle to prevent Stroke. And to act FAST (F- Facial weakness, A- Arm weakness, S- Speech problems and T for timely action ) if we see any of these signs of Stroke. Approx. 50 participants including Specialists, Medical doctors from various health facilities/ HWCs , nursing fraternity, AYUSH and Dental doctors participated in the interactive session and taken pledge that “I will not have a Stroke “ and will adopt healthy habits and improve brain function which can lower our risk for Stroke.
