Chandigarh.29 September,2020:Dietetics Department, GMSH-16 Chandigarh in association with Indian Dietetic Association, Netprofan and Nutrition Society of India .Chandigarh Chapter celebrated Poshan Maah-2020 by organising “Online Drawing Competition” for junior classes in St.John’s High School. Sector-26, Chandigarh.
Dr G.Dewan Director Health services cum Mission Director (NHM) addressed the children and asked them to be brand ambassadors of Health and Nutrition especially during these pandemic times Covid-19 and briefed on the Prime Minister’s Flagship programme “Poshan Abhiyaan”.
Mrs. Kavita C Das principal of the School highlighted on the benefits of healthy eating and stressed to avoid junk food. The theme of drawing competition was Poshan Vatika and children showed their creative skills by making colorful and nutrition based drawings .
Three winners of competition were selected and e-certificate were given to each and every student who participated in the competition.
Mrs. Manisha Arora , Sr Dietician GMSH-16,Chandigarh presented vote of thanks and focused on spreading the message of Poshan Vatika by growing medicinal and nutritional plants
