Chandigarh, Sept 7 – Haryana Police have nabbed 173 offenders including 11 most wanted criminals during a month-long drive conducted in Rohtak Police Range, which concluded on August 31, 2020.
While giving this information today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that these offenders were not only accused in heinous crime but also carried reward on their arrest. The crackdown was a part of a special drive conducted to check the crime rate in the Rohtak Range comprising Rohtak, Bhiwani, Sonipat, Dadri and Jhajjar districts.
A total of 81 proclaimed offenders, 78 bail jumpers and three parole jumpers were apprehended during the drive, which began on August 1. Among the arrested offenders, many of them had been evading arrest for long. Maximum 6 most-wanted criminals had been arrested from Rohtak, 4 from Sonipat and one from Bhiwani district.
It is worthwhile to mention that following the DGP Haryana, Sh. Manoj Yadava’s directives, Rohtak Range Police under the supervision of Range ADGP Sh. Sandeep Khirwar had launched a special hunt to push the criminals and anti-social elements behind bars.
He said that police was constantly working to check the crime rate as well as to trace and arrest the notorious and hardened criminals. Our operation against crime and criminals will continue.
