Punjab-Chandigarh Chapter of Rashtriya Yuvak Parishad Announced
Chandigarh, 6 January, 2020: “Politics doesn’t come by birth, it doesn’t comes a ticket given by your party, it’s only comes by working for the betterment of society. Our sole aim is to connect people to people and work for the upliftment of the underprivileged, said Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Member of Parliament from Prayagraj today while addressing audience at Chandigarh Press Club, in Sector 27 here.
She was addressing at the launch function of Punjab and Chandigarh Chapter of Rashtriya Yuvak Parishad (RYP). Surinder Verma, who is also the President of Citizen Awareness Group, Chandigarh was announced as a President of Chapter by Bahuguna, who is also the patron on RYP.
Rashtriya Yuvak Parishad is a non-profit organization, working in 22 states across the country. The Parishad was established on 23 January 1970 and has been working expeditiously for the betterment of youth.
Bahuguna in her address, said, “India is a diverse and vast country, with hundreds of languages and numerous dialects but still we are united, which makes us unique and different from others.”
During the occasion, she also touched on several aspects like female foeticide, women empowerment, education etc. She said that our government has been working in all spheres for the betterment of the society and suggested that we need to change our thoughts and country will change spontaneously.
She also welcomed the new President, Surinder Verma and wished him all the best to work with full enthusiasm for the betterment of the society.
Surinder Verma expressed his gratitude to Bahuguna and all dignitaries presented on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion he said, “I am very privileged to be part of this prestigious organization and thanks to all the senior members that they have shown faith in me.” He said he will work on the principles of Swami Vivekananda and will carry forward the work with the same enthusiasm, which has been started by the Parishad around 49 years back.”
Narinder Mathur, National President of RYP congratulated the newly appointed President and said, “We are privileged to launch our organization in Punjab. With the sheer determination of four youngsters we started this organization in 1970 for the betterment of humanity and society on the principles of Subhash Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda. And we strongly believe that Verma will carry forward the good work.”
The event was moderated by Ram Gopal Verma, National Secretary of RYP. Among others present were Narinder Mathur, National President, RYP; Ranjeeta Mehta, National Coordinator All India Mahila, Congress; Mukesh Garg, Delhi President of RYP and attended by prominent social workers and NGOs. A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion.
